Portraits for me, speak about self-love and loving your body. So many women struggle with their image, as we are judged on impossible standards of appearance. This insecurity is passed from generation to generation. This is why it is so important to teach your daughter to love herself now, the way she is. The message is: “I love myself, therefore my daughter loves herself.” This is why we need to empower our girls now, increasing body–confidence education. We can start by having meaningful conversations around the body – image, how they perceive their own appearance.

This is where we'll start designing your photoshoot. What to wear, what style, how to prepare, we will have a consultation preshoot.

BEAUTY MAKEOVER

BEAUTY MAKEOVER

This session is all about you. Hair, make-up, you’re totally pampered and together we go through the outfits you brought and choose which works best. It’s important you feel beautiful in order to feel confident in front of the camera, and this session will definitely make you feel it!

PHOTOSHOOT

This is where the fun with the camera starts. Forget all you thought you knew about when people take shots of you, let me work my magic and we’ll see what happens. Which side of you will come bursting through? Only time will tell…

REVEAL

REVEAL

The you, you’ll keep forever. We’ll go through your shots and you can choose which ones you would like to buy. Most people choose between 10-20 shots. The end result will probably be a portrait, as you’ve never seen yourself before. You might be surprised with what we end up with, and you’ll definitely be pleased.

Q&A

How will I know how to pose?
I will work with you and show you the poses that will work for you and your body. I will direct your poses and you don’t need to have any prior experience.

 

When do I pick up my photos?
30 days after your shoot there will be a face-to-face session at my studio, I call it the “Reveal”, where you get to admire and order your printed and matted photos. How many you buy, it’s up to you.

 

Do you retouch the images?
Yes, all your images are retouched, spots and blemishes are removed unless stated otherwise.

 

Who can I bring along at the photoshoot? 
If you would like to share the experience with your mum, daughter, sister, friend, partner, you are welcome to invite them into the shoot. Make it a girls day out!

My name is Cristina and I am a portrait photographer. I’ve learned through the years that photographing the lives and hearts of women runs so much deeper than just getting your picture taken. It’s an emotional experience, one that exposes vulnerabilities, but all the while empowers and uplifts. It’s an experience I want every women to have. One where she realises her beauty is unmistakable and the role that she plays in this world is both irreplaceable and imperative. My promise to you is that once you step in front of my camera, this will happen. And it’s an experience you won’t forget.
